Wickham Community Centre, Mill Lane, Wickham, Hants, PO17 5AL

Waltham Chase Aeromodellers look forward to welcoming all R/C indoor FPV fliers to these events.  Meetings will run from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. This is the venue at which we hold our popular indoor R/C Small Models meetings. Should these trial events be successful, the club will hold a series of indoor FPV focused events intended to provide a more suitable forum for these types of vehicles than general indoor flying.

Models to be flown at these meetings are to be limited to a maximum weight of 95 grammes (3.5 ounces), in flight trim, including battery (not to exceed a 2-cell Li-Po pack). Helicopters are to be limited to a rotor diameter of 6” (152mm). Multicopters are to have a motor to motor diameter not exceeding 6” (152mm).

All models will be examined before first flight, and will be judged on their suitability for the venue on the evening. All models should be 25mW 5.8GHz or Wi-Fi FPV equipped. A frequency control system will be employed whereby each pilot will be allocated a video operating band, to guarantee frequency separation a maximum of 4 pilots will be permitted to transmit at any one time. Each model will need to be checked and a transmitter tag allocated before being cleared to fly.

Depending on the number of FPV models ready to fly there may be an opportunity to fly non-FPV equipped models.

Flying at these events will take place generally in accordance with our procedures developed at the regular indoor R/C events, details of which are available on our website.

Admission to the meetings will be £4 for fliers and £1 for spectators, whilst accompanied children will be admitted free. Junior fliers will be charged as adult spectators. Fliers will be required to show proof of insurance.
