If you didn't come to last year’s event, you missed a great weekend! Middle Wallop Army Air base is the largest grass air base in Europe. This year’s event will again commemorate Colonel H. J. Taplin's first official world recorded flight of an R/C electric model on the 30th June 1957.

On Sunday afternoon there will be a competition for the Exide & Drydex trophy awarded to the best flown electric powered Radio Queen.

Gates open at 9am, flying is from 10am until 6pm.

Pilots to have a minimum of an 'A' Cert and proof of insurance is required (BMFA, LMA, SAA). Pilots flying models over 20kg require a minimum of a 'B' Cert.

No maximum model weight or size.

During the lunch break on Sunday there will be a Raffle. A free raffle ticket for all pilots who fly on Sunday or £1 a ticket for others. This raffle is to help pay for the airfield licence for the weekend.

Our Scale and Jet weekend at Hucknall Airfield once again combines our previous years separate ‘Scale weekend’, with the ‘Jet event’ from later in the year.

All types of R/C Scale models with the addition of any Gas Turbine powered model.

A BMFA ‘B’ Certificate is required to fly any model, as this is open to the general public to attend.

Entry fee is just £2 per pilot taking part to cover the rental of toilets. This event will include a 'Swapmeet' on the Sunday.

Camping is available Friday afternoon until Monday morning.

The event is open to any person who hold a BMFA "A" or "B" achievement rating wishing to fly any type of electric, I/C and turbine powered warbird. The "B" Certificate is mandatory for models over 7kg and all jet turbines. Max weight is 20kg. BMFA handbook and club rules apply.

Off the peg flying for 35 MHz and 2.4GHz commences at 10.00am to 4.00pm for guests.

Pilots briefing scheduled for 9.45am. All Turbines must have failsafe.

BMFA member’s card confirming achievement rating must be produced at registration. No excuses for NOT PRODUCING BAMFA members card = No fly (so go put it in the glove box before you forget).

The main feature of the day for most pilots is the chance to have fun and to fly and chat as much as they want on NBRMAS picturesque site in rural Oxfordshire. This site is large and models up to 50% scale Edges have flown there with no problems.

We cater for all engine types but if you want to bring a gas turbine please check with us BEFORE you come as there may be restrictions applied to their operation at that time in the year.

Will owners of large models let us know in advance if they want to come so we can make suitable arrangements to cater for them on the flightline.

This is an easy going fly in for all types of models; Jets, Props, Electric, Scale or sport.

The intention is to have this weekend as a more relaxed event, where you can bring any type of model that may not have fit into any other class or category..... Sport planes, Panic's, Easy Streets, Blizzards, Depron Hacks, Experimental, Boomerang's etc..

A minimum of 'A' Certificate is required for all pilots, and a Turbine powered or 'Large' model requires the pilot to hold a 'B' certificate.

This event is not open to the general public, but will include a 'Swapmeet' on the Sunday morning, open to anyone holding current BMFA membership, and their car full of guests.

Entry fee is just £2 per pilot taking part to cover the rental of toilets.

Camping is available Friday afternoon until Monday morning.

Access is via the Rolls-Royce No.2 Gate on the B6009 Watnall Road, Hucknall NG15 6FQ.

The Airfield gates open for Sellers and Pilots - 09:00 ‘Fly-in visitors’ & ‘Swapmeet customers’ - 10:00.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight ‘Fly-pasts’ have been requested for all of this year events.
