These events have been a great success in previous years and this is the first of this year’s opportunities to move on some of the models, engines and other modelling equipment that you have not used for ages and to pick up a bargain at the same time.

From 11am to 3pm and open to all with free entry, but with a £5 charge to sellers who are not BMFC members. Selling only from designated pitches for each vehicle. You will need to supply your own display table. Toilets on site and free access to food facilities and toilets at the gun club down the lane. Selling to start at 11am but access to set up from 10am.

8th May 2018HampshireIndoor R/C FPV Meeting
 Wickham Community Centre, Mill Lane, Wickham, Hants, PO17 5AL

All meetings will run from 7pm to 9.30pm. This is the venue at which we hold our popular indoor R/C Small Models meetings. Admission to the meetings will be £4 for fliers and £1 for spectators, whilst accompanied children will be admitted free. Junior fliers will be charged as adult spectators. Fliers will be required to show proof of insurance.

Models to be flown at these meetings are to be limited to a maximum weight of 95 grammes (3.5 ounces), in flight trim, including battery (not to exceed a 2-cell Li-Po pack). Helicopters are to be limited to a rotor diameter of 6” (152mm). Multicopters are to have a motor to motor diameter not exceeding 6” (152mm).

All models should be 25mW 5.8GHz or Wi-Fi FPV equipped. A frequency control system will be employed whereby each pilot will be allocated a video operating band, to guarantee frequency separation a maximum of 4 pilots will be permitted to transmit at any one time. Each model will need to be checked and a transmitter tag allocated before being cleared to fly.

Depending on the number of FPV models ready to fly there may be an opportunity to fly non-FPV equipped models.

Flying at these events will take place generally in accordance with our procedures developed at the regular indoor R/C events, details of which are available on our website.

Entry via the Museum gate from 9am and finishing both days at 5pm. This revived event from the 1990s will have the use of a smooth tarmac runway and a grass strip.

 Haverfordwest Model Club Site, Templeton, on the MOD Site at Templeton Airfield situated on the A4115 road out of Templeton, on the left hand side.

From 9am until 5pm. The site has a large grass landing strip. There is free parking available, and entry is free. Please feel free to bring friends and family as it should be a good day out.

RC Fixed wing, Electric, Scale, Gas Turbine, RC Helicopters all welcome. Pilots to provide proof of BMFA Membership or other suitable insurance. Noise limit imposed of BMFA guideline of 82 Decibel maximum. All models must have a working failsafe. 

There will be refreshments in the way of a burger van and an ice cream van, and there will be a portable loo available on site. A Raffle will be held and there will also be a swapmeet, so bring along RC Flying related items you wish to move on, and some cash in case you want to buy a new model, etc.

Models to be flown at these meetings are to be limited to a maximum weight of 95 grammes (3.5 ounces) for fixed wing aircraft, in flight trim, including battery (not to exceed a 2-cell Li-Po pack). Helicopters are to be limited to a rotor diameter of 12” (305mm). All models will be weighed before flight, and will be judged on their suitability for the venue on the evening. Fixed wing models such as the Parkzone Ultra Micro series appear to be most suited to the hall.

Flying at these events will take place generally in accordance with our procedures developed at the regular indoor R/C events, details of which are available on our website.

Admission to the meetings will be £4 for fliers and £1 for spectators, whilst accompanied children will be admitted free. Junior fliers will be charged as adult spectators. Fliers will be required to show proof of insurance.

Turbines and models over 7Kg require the pilot to hold a “B” test.

There will be ample car parking, BBQ, Marquees and a toilet available.

The UKs longest running model show Wings and Wheels hosts all disciplines of RC modelling from tiny indoor model aircraft and helicopters to the latest drones and jets.

With an amazing flying site on the runway at North Weald, this enables the largest of large model aircraft to fly, some as large as 87% scale! Night Flying will also feature for the first on the Saturday night with our live entertainment performed by The Rebels also featuring on the Saturday night.

This event has been running for many years, this being the 4th year it has been sponsored by the London Area BMFA. The day consists of light hearted flying competitions that can be entered with virtually any model.

From 10:30am to 6pm. There will be many prizes (about 25) which are wrapped modelling goods, winning the competition does not mean you get the best prize, you get first choice of the mystery prizes. There will be a free BBQ around lunchtime. The day is free to any member of any London Area BMFA club or £5 to others.

Odd numbers only if using 35mhz. Toilet facilities on site. Overnight camping on the night before the event (Saturday) is available by prior request.

Flying starts at 10.30 so get there earlier for a pilots briefing

Large models up to 20Kg welcome. The field has a grass strip 92 metres x 12 metres and has a good flat surface. Tail restraints or secure restraint required. Pilots must be BMFA members and if not holding at least an “A” test will need to fly under supervision. Models over 7Kg require the pilot to hold a “B” test. There will be ample car parking, BBQ, Marquees and a toilet available.
