Hi Shaun, just looking at my makeover on the electric seagull what did you do about the black sections on the wings and the the blue and red insignia on the fin? did you remove them, or paint over them? When I looked at the black sections from inside the wing during the build, i noticed that the manufacturer had pricked lots of holes in the underlying film where the black is, i guess to stop bubbles, if i remove the black the film the underneath will be like a porcupine  I guess you left it stuck on and painted over the top. Did the light paint cover okay??

well work has been a bit busy so not much time for Fury but I have managed to flat all the film down with a green scotchbrite pad (6 3"x2" actually) it does look much better matt.

I have sorted the retracts and they are working really well. I have removed the canopy and the cockpit floor. I have given Ned Flanders the rest of the year off and will find a more suitably dressed pilot.

I have re-used all the offcuts of grey solarfilm and have filled the gaps where panels were joined, wing sections, tailplane, and fin assumbly to fus. This might be a nifty trick to do even if you weren't re-painting. Just take a little care to trim wheel wells and servo cut-outs so that the film can be re-used.

What scale did you use in yours Shaun? I cannot find a 1/7 scale pilot on Petes site? How much torso did you end up with?
