Just for thoughts guys, I have been told on another forum that the metal Z bend on the throttle arm and the retract valve could be a potential problem. What do you think, and have you another suggestion?

 I use a metal one on my retract valve, and have no problem? Are they suggesting metal to metal noise interference problems? There is a slight chance i guess, but as I am 2.4Ghz it aint an issue

Well, another productive night. The switch is fitted, the servos adjusted with the push rods set. The metal on metal discussed earlier has been sorted (I hope) by fitting a tiny plastic arm to the valve and a plastic clevis to the throttle. The u/c has been tested as well, and I put 3mm of washers under the t/e of the retracts to set them forwards a bit. The remote glow has had a new clip fitted and has been tested.
Problems that remain:
One aileron is binding. There's a marked difference in the fit of the ailerons, with one being tight and the other quite loose. I mean the cut out for the aileron, not any fitting I've done. Might need razor saw surgery.
What to do with the u/c air recharge point? Do I put through the fuselage wall, or leave it inside and charge with the wing off? The batteries need to be charged this way I suppose.
Jobs to do:
Cyano flap hinges.
Fit u/c legs and wheels.
Fit rads.
Paint up.
Fit canopy.
Pin hinges.
Tighten up.
The engine hasn't been run yet, so the test flight might be done without the cowl, just to ensure enough air gets through for cooling. Also it will give me unrestricted access to the fuel tank etc.
Any last ideas, advice?

I have my air refill valve mounted on the wing ( but there again I opted to fit ALL the retract gear on the wing rather than in the fus ) and it is hidden by a magnetically attached "ammunition blister" made from a plastic spoon. The problem is that unless you have a very large tank, each fillup will only produce around 4 /5 lifts of the gear, and once you have tested it before each flight, and done a couple of dirty passes for the admiring onlookers, you will want to be re-filling it quite soon, and the bother of removing the wing to do so is a pain. External access I think.

I think you're right. I have two smaller tanks mounted in parallel inside the fuselage. I'll try mounting it in the cowl, opposite the fuel valve, but in the same fashion. It will be hidden in profile by the exhaust. Ammo blisters? Show us how?

 Yes, I went external with my old Sea Fury, I was always topping it up between flights just in case.

Here ya go..... I would have liked the cover a little further out on the wing span, nearer the cannons, but i was a bit limited due to internal wing structure and pipe runs etc...so it will have to do
OK for the general standoff scale overall result. Tis just an old plastic spoon cut up, and painted to match. Its held in place with 2 x neodym magnets as seen in the picture, let into the wing surface, and matching ones epoxied into the spoon. Grips like the old proverbial stuff to a blanket

Nice job! I have repositioned mine as a through the cowl protrusion. Shouldn't show up in flight though. One niggly thing though, I fitted the spinner and whilst tightening up the spinner nut, stripped the first two threads on the crankshaft  Nevermind. All seems ok now I am using a finer pitched prop (14x6) Canopy attached as well.

Keep your fingers crossed! There's good weather forecast, the Sea Fury is finished, although I did hole the wing with the prop (grrr....). Maybe she'll fly tomorrow? Incidently do you pin your hinges or not?
