The new engine arrived this a.m will fit this evening

Go on then.... get on with it!
 it looks amazing

Lol fitted the 52 last night, same size as the mount for the Irvine, put a remote glow lead in as sent the on board glow back as could not get it to work! The SC 52 has a nice long needle valve so no need for a wire extension! Oh Galaxy sent me 2 blade prop and spinner, sent it back as I ordered 3 blade! Going to reinstall the tank etc tonight and so I can start running in wensday afternoon! Shaun you said you had a one way valve? Where did mount this? The 2400mha battery rx will have to move now as seems nose heavy with the new engine, a 60 would be to heavy.. See how we do on the 52 lol, dont tempt changes, I have spent to long waiting for the postman with this plane, time to fly!

I used a right angle bracket, the sort you get from a DIY store, cut down and screwed to the firewall. The other flat face was then against the cowling, so I cut a hole in the cowl and fitted the valve through it. It's a red one and looks the part. I'll get a pic up later. You'd have been fine with the 2 bladed prop, probably more efficent than the three.

As promised, here's where mine mounts
Ok thanks, looks good, like the touch on the exhaust! I did mine with some normal model paint! Getting to work, so should have some pics posted! I have a 2 blade set up that I will put on tonight!
Rito here goes, I left the cowling and valve to last, I fueled up and did some bedding in for the 52, first flick and she was a way, ran a tank and a half through her with a 11x6. Wow the power compared to the 46, this plane is now going to leap off the terra firma!
 Looks the biz!
You notice the difference. If you do fit the 3 blader, it'll not be quite so lively though, but bags of power all the same.
Cheers Shaun, will do the cowling later, that was on 5%, I reckon 10% and it will be sweet, got to do c odf g again and throw rates charge up and she is ready... I dont what its like in the UK but it nice and very windy... Typical
 Same here bud! Tally Ho!
Here is the final fitting for the nearperfect fit with the cowl! Took longer than expected as the 52 carb is bigger than the 46, to get a enough clearance I had to cut the little hole in the front and drill new mounting holes, not a drama really! The one way valve is fitted so will ground run again wensday to see if there any drama's! Hopefully not!

Nice job mate. Looks remarkably similar to mine.....
Ready for a test flight today the weather is great! Did yo have to shove loads of weight in the rear? almost another battery pack and some stick on weights on the stabilator? huh seems execessive but on the c of g scale set to 100mm this is the only way to get it her to ballance... pre flight nervs setting it lol!
No, none at all.. Good luck weather here is pants... very windy and rainy.... typical British july then.

did you finger balance or did you put on a scale? cause adding the weight is excessive, I got the battery pack up near the servo's.. ah one of the guys who flies big models should be clued up... right i am packing shop and heading to the field, I shall post tonight lol!
I finger balanced mine, and don't forget I have a big 3 blader and alloy spinner, as well as the battery etc for the on board glow. As for my rx battery, it's under the fuel tank, right up front. Good luck buddy, tally ho!
Gutted Gutted ... Got the model to the field, fueled up, Db check was great, new engine is running sweet, quick range check oh no glitches, new reciever etc hardly used, glitching after 5 meters or so... so need to do some more fixing,,, this plane is not wanting to fly lol, the weather looks rubbish for tommorow so... well it came home in piece and was bit of crowd looker on the ground, will post a pic of the final product soon after I have gotten over dissapointent again! Worked thre c of g out to 90mm wich is abit nose heavy... I did have fun with my texan though...
Well, at least you can try again. Have a good look for metal on metal, clevises rattling etc.
Well there's the living proof I was there.. all set to go! Yes will check everyhing, maybe the throttle pushrod was to close to the Rx... Will test again, i couldnt find a alu spinner so the one will do, the 11-7 is very quiet and sounds nice! I put the Irvine 46 into the AT6 and she flies like a bullet.. again I have a retract problem so, so many planes and so little time ha ha
