ok , up date got the two batteries of ebay ,got it all set and the receiver is naff has a mind of it own good job it a slow stick put it down for a transmiter. test and it was off ,so replace it with one out of another plane .

now the motor keeps cutting out if push to full throttle  but will restart if you close the throtttle on thr transmitter  .is it always this hard

Sounds like you batteries are not holding up, and the ESC's LVC is cutting in. What amps is the powertrain pulling, and what are the specs of the battery?
Show/hide user stats
the batteries are nimh 1/3aaa 300mah 8.4v and the motor is the stand one which is gws /ips-st-b not sure what amps its pulling and the esc is a gws ic100 .i thought it might be the batteries but to be that unlucky that both dont work

triple A's and only 300 mahr at that - sounds like they are a bit on the small side for decent elcetric flight to me, I have no idea what the slow sick in standard form consumes but I wouldnt be surprisd to see 6 - 8Amps or so and therefore those weedy little triple aaa cells awill be unable to deliver.Sounds like incapable batteries to me, and the LVC is kicking in and shutting down the motor. Try some larger ( capacity and can size) batteries like maybe some decent double A's around 1000 m/a or so  - ordinary dry cells like in a torch or whatever, ( not flying ) and see if the problem goes away...if it does, well there ya go.

cheers sounds right cause if i dont use full throttle it will last long b4 shutting down ,will try that i have a battery from my cclee piper cub  thats is a 7.2 with 650 mah .the manual says to use 6.0  ~7.2v ~270mah but gws has stopped making them

thank you ,the other battery worked spot on

300mah triple aaa cells are not really much use for anything other than a torch bulb or similar !
Show/hide user stats

on that notes does any body need a 300mah triple as i,m going to put it on ebay

NOTE JUST LOOKED CLOSELY AT THE BATTERY IT A DOUBLE A NOT TRIPLE SHOULD REALLY GET GLASSES
Show/hide user stats
Ah, that is a different matter then however....300mahr is still a bit low capacity !

Three hundred mil 'AA'? The smallest I've ever seen are 500's! Are you sure that isn't the recommended max CHARGING rate you are looking at?
