It is a shame as we were going to suggest that he did fly with us when we put up our 2 twins.

Well done the Warbird Team  of TJD Models. A very impressive show concidering the conditions.              Distance doesn't do them justice,  seeing them flying was a the first for me. I  was quite surprised by their size when parked outside the trade stand.....

Full left aileron and it was still spinning right!

That's a common occurrance in full-size, too. Spin, stick central, rudder to out-spin, stick fully forward with NO aileron. When the rotation stops, wait for the nose to come down,  wait some more for speed, and only then apply elevators to level.

If the wing is fully stalled, opposite spin ailerons can actually be in-spin ails!

Ouch indeed. Shame.

Eric, the plane was too low for any kind of input to gain control, while it was in the air it was beautiful to look at, i hope another one is built.

i filmed the demise of large marruader at halton airshow a few years ago. the plane clipped a super air with its left wing destroying the super air, the pilot then tried to land but tip stalled and crashed. the  video clip of the crash is on SPLAT 5

Hi Guys.

I heard at the show that this model was on 2.4GHz  and according to Dave Bishop, commentating, suffered "a lock out", whatever that means, technically. This was the initial comment  from the flightline, to DB, via the radio mike.

Its always a terrible shame to see a model crash like this, and I'd certainly like to hear some further details relating to "Lock out" and can anyone confirm that it was indeed flying on 2.4GHz.

John.

Wrong model, wrong crash!

The one you refer to looks like a component failure. 2,4 in not relevant
