Does anyone know where i can find a guide or something similar to the dimensions of SC Engines, because i have a Sc 52 2-stroke in my edge 540 and i believe it is a bit underpowered and want to fit a 61 but i didnt really want to be hacking away at the cowl after getting it near perfect.

Do SC have a website or anywhere where i can get the dimensions from.

 Cheers    Ben

J.Perkins distribute the engines Ben - have a look at www.jperkinsdistribution.co.uk

i had a look on the website and there is nothing to do with engine dimensions so i have sent them an e-mail and now i just have to sit and wait.

Cheers.

just engines list the sizes for ASP - SC should be pretty much the same,  I'm pretty sure my SC52 is a '40' size crankcase, if you go up to a 60 then the width and length increase.  Certainly when I swapped from the SC to an Enya 60 in the Acrowot I had to replace the engine mount and recut the cowling a lot to suit the bigger and repositioned cylinder.

Try Sussex Models, they have drawings in the lists of many of the engines they sell.

just been on the sussex models website thanks for the suggestion.  It looks as though the Sc61 is quite a bit bigger than the 52 so if i decide to get one it looks like i gotta hack away at my cowl a bit more.

Cheers.

I understand that ASP & SC engines are pretty much identical....see the Just Engines website for ASP dimensions here & scroll down a bit. Many Chinese engines are "copies" of OS & use identical mounting dimensions

ASP do a 61 four stroke that is basically a "big bore" 52 & this is a great motor...same size as a 52 but 61 grunt. I know I have one in my Planenutz Pitts Special !!!!!
