I get 9800 WOT on an APC 13 X 8 on my SC 91 FS ( same engine as the ASP ) 10% Nitro.

A Graupner 14 x 7 gave me 8550 RPM

Top service from Just Engines......

Mind you one thing sticks in my mind.....they said the cam timing was out....how did this happen? The camshaft is deep inside the engine & can only mean the engine has been assembled incorrectly...by whom I wonder..... If the cam was a tooth out I'm surprised it ran as well as it did!!!!!!!!!

At least everything is OK now....guess you'll need to find a home for the 91 now........

ok time to own up I did rebuild the engine as the main crank shaft broke the pin off the back where the con rod connects and must have got the timing wrong once reassembled it but I believe I checked this and it was set up correctly obviously I got it wrong. I assume the pin broke off as i was running a very large prop originally. I completly forgot about this then it came back to me once they said about the timing being out, must be age related {where you start forgetting things} I'm sure I got it right I will of course look at the timimg marks and take photos for reference.
