Whilst waiting for bits and bobs to arrive for thr Tucano I got started on this guy! Spent most of the day on the retracts... (Yes I am leave at the moment) The underbelly Blue is abit ott.... This is a Kyosho Model, I think the retracts fold int he same way as the real thing! Gear door have been modeified for a better fit and for aerodynamics! I have the P-51 in the boz as well with some Graupner retracts, wing will need modifying! Sooner postman come sooner i can maiden these birds! Answers to Shaun:- yes that retract system from foamyjets is nice, what about the price? Its tempting? go on I want to see you modify your Tuc... Chris:- Cool, sounds by your first post you didnt have a good time with the Tuc?

Dustin, I'd love to start modifying, but I ought to finish the retract mods on my Sea Fury, repair my Kalmkat, rebuild my Super Air and finish off the Transall motor setup and Mosquito mods. I also have a similar Spit in the wings, it's the 60 sized Sportsman Aviation model, but the retracts go the wrong way I have an OS91FS waiting to go in it as well. And I am away from monday for 2 weeks (barring w/e)

LOL... Super Air, which one did you have? Graupner? I had (have the wreck still) the Graupner Super Air II, she was a good flier till fated gliches and radio failure (soldering for the Tx arieal onto the mobo had come off) Crashed and burned, I really like the Super Air, even my wife was gutted! Ok sounds like you busy in the hanger there, i am going to keep a eye as when when you convert I think I will save up for the retracts and motor, provided the model is still around .. i was thinking of adding some dummy gear doors as the piano wire legs arnt cutting it! Ah putting some RAF decals on...

Sounds nice! The Super Air was the Black Horse one, my son extended an engine off glide for too long and stuff it in. But I adored it, so when my LHS offered me a new one for £35 I took it. I also have a Jamara FW190 which is a regular flier, 2 Gnatty's (1 new and 1 for repair), a Hurricane for restoration, a foamy jets depron hawk that needs repairing and a Priory Lanc to build. I also have the RCME Typhoon plan and cnc templates, the Vampire and the Spitfire to get around to. As well as a 63" Traplet plan Mossie to build. I need to retire.....

Shaun, when you retire, you will have even LESS time!! I know, I 'retired' rather suddenly just over a month ago!

Hmmm.... Perhaps then I need a job that involves flying models. Perhaps it's time to volunteer for the new RAF Predator Sqn?
Would be nice to have a job flying models everyday... chances are? Had a look at the Blackhorse Super Air, Almost the same as the Graupner one, except Graupner put a cowling etc on! foamyjets hawk has good reviews, I have the f-15 somewhere that needs building! I have a cd with hundereds of plans, all those depron models are on there.

Did some test running today. Fuel tank problems!! Do you have a 3 line system Shaun? If so does it save cutting more holes in the cowl and easier fuel and de-fuel? I have never made a line system so any tips would be appreciated...
Sorry for the delay, I've been away with work. I use a three line system, with a Dubro filler valve on the cowl for fuel, and a pressure line from the exhaust. I can fuel and defuel through the valve, which is a snappy metallic red colour and looks just fine in the cowl.
