This is the first installament of a build diary on the PILOT models "Extra 10".

BOX: Very long, thin and blue with a small description.

KIT CONTENTS: This kit comes with few hardware parts, ie: it is missing wheels and a fuel tank, but does have a pair of spats, cowling and Canopy.

On with the building!
The plan sheet/instructions say to use Cyanoacrylate throughout the build. Whilst the this is very strong, it bonds very fast in heat so there is an obvious lack of working time. The fuselage sides have LEFT and RIGHT lasered into them so you can't make two left fuselages. The ply formers go in quite well, and so do the balsa ones. Unfortunately, when bending the fuselage, the back three formers snapped, so my Dad cleverly reinforced them and re-made some. The Firewall and mount have offset built into them so that is OK. The other ply former uses triangular pieces to keep the gear straight when it is added.
