Watch out that you don't get intercepted by fighters from Yorkshire!!!

RAF Tornados intercepted eight Russian bombers as they approached UK airspace

The Bear Tupolev-95 planes were detected by Nato early this morning.

Four F3 fighters were scrambled from RAF Leeming in Yorkshire and RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.

The Russian planes diverted before entering British territory.

They headed back to their base in north Russia without incident.

I have to date built most of the airframe, except the Stbd wing and 3 engine nacelles, have all the servos and most of the electrics. After the above have been built, it is inspection time, then covering in Proskin, covered in metal clad.

Steve,

1/10th scale? What wingspan will it have when finished?

Some pictures would be nice...

Hi Steve,

How is your build going?

Just finished my 1:18.5 Tu-95MS.  It's electric, 32lbs, contra-rotating gear boxes turning 12" props, 1P5S 4800mah lipo packs per motor , WS 108" and covered in Flite-Metal aluminum. We hope to fly in August.

Mine was a bear. At your scale yours will be a grizzly

George

I can hear those Tumansky's growling from here!

Eric,

 Tumansky's?

Tu-95MS is powered, as far as I know, by the Kuznetsov  NK-12MV , 14795  shaft HP.

Am I missing something?

Am I thinking of the wrong engines??  Bears, anyway! Perhaps the Tum's were in the foxbat? It's me age, you know!
