Would it be possible for the techies to add a little line of code that shows who is active on the forum? Some forums do have this, and some don't, so it should be doable. It is not something important, but might be interesting to somebody, as there are quite often people browsing, who do not contribute. The line would read similar to -- Readers active on forum, Eric, Timbo, Dave and 3 guests, or whatever.

Yes I'd like that Eric, I've asked in the past and will keep at it

Magicalia tend to roll out upgrades across all their sites at once but I know some of the other site editors would like it too so we'll see what happens.

Me too ..... ( David did you get my e-mail this morning to Sean - CC to yourself ? ) Coincidentally one of the topics I asked him about was this very subject.

- As with all sites we all tend to check as much as possible in all areas, this is to find out how the system works/ laid out.....When the time factor plays a great deal in finding threads to the part of system to answer or ask me another question or reply are tasks in themselves, who,s crawling the site i would say everyone, contribution could only take place wants the subject matter intrested in has been identified. As noticed nearly or getting on for 4,000.00 threads going on,with many on same topic or easily guided via the computer soft ware,it seems not geared up for (automatic set up) roll up upgrades with instant Message/reply while on..,Reply required button box... to the top of this message would be handy.intrested to feedback??another contribution your welcome.

Sorry Ron, I didn't understand a word of that but I do agree with Eric as its a great idea!
|
 |
I think Ron was suggesting some sort of index, to save constantly trawling through all the threads to see if the question has already been asked. Ron's text was a bit confusing, so I may be wrong! Sorry Ron!
