sorry its a seagull edge 540 60 size i got advised on 0s 91fx ,os 120 and a saito fa 125a

The saito are lovely engines - but then in a mass market sort of way ...so are the OS of course!

haha hard isn't it????

Well if you must push me for a decision, I would probably go Saito - 'cos they are simply not as common as OS, and they are V nice engines.

Have lots of Saitos.....125a is a bit weird, the set up is different ....longer stroke, smaller piston.....The only one that I have had to get a new cylinder for(a long story}Have two O.S. 120s......Brilliant  engines.Four stroke lads need a little more thought and work.If you don't like working with engines go for the O.S. 120....

I am a big fan of Saitos but have to agree the 125a is different and it does take a lot longer to set up correctly and really needs a higher nitro fuel at least 16% and higher. if you are coming from a two stroke back ground I would go for the OS.91 FX, has bags of power and turns similar props to a four-stroke.

Mmmmmmm.......91FX......Great engine, but a 1.20 in the Edge would make it purr and go silly....Yeah.......       Silly....

i was going to go for the saito although it may be hard to set up i can get colin chapman a friend of mine to see if he can get it setup properly and i think 4 strokes sound much better. and wouldn't the saito be able to swing a bigger prop.

Must be a different Colin Chapman! He made very fast little cars!

Yes four-strokes do turn bigger props but the Saito 125 seems to prefer a 15 x 8 or a 16 x 6 prop rather than the normal 16 x 8 for a 120 but if you can get someone to tune it properly then go for it. The OS .91 FX is a long stroke engine and it turns the same props as  the Saito 125 at similar revs.  One very good point about the Saito is how quiet it is even compared to an OS 1.20 it has a duller sound which can make you think it is not tuned correctly and you may feel you need to lean it out more, don't, Saito's tend to run at a slighty richer setting than other four-stokes, just listen for the revs to increase as you richen the high end needle slighty.
