Good review there Steve, and the model sounds a peach. I notice you chose quite a smaller propellor than recommended ( due no doubt to the already purchased powertrain )so I reckon with the bigger prop it will be an absolute beauty!

hi timbo

unfortunately the model is no more it went in rather hard 3 weeks ago i did this review ages ago not sure why/how its resurfaced but all the same the model was superb although i must say its been replaced by the katana... incidentally the prop is only 1" diameter and 1/2" pitch smaller than the hacker version going up that extra bit would have fried both motor and esc so it stayed as it was.

Ouch...sorry to hear that Steve

I was just going by what it said on the bottom of the review re: the props IE:

"Propeller: APC 15x8 (recommended) Fitted: 13x6.5 APC"

...Yeh I figured the reason you stayed a little smaller was 'cos of current draw.

it certainly should not have read 15x8 after all its only a 500w motor i fear someone has been playing with the figures me thinks i'll dig out the original review and have a look........aha the recommended motor is a Hacker 30-10xl which is a much lower KV than the motor fitted hence the recommended 55amp esc. i only bought the kit from my bro and he only had enough money for a cheap motor and esc when he bought the model originally. hence me only fitting that
