Couldn't agree more, what a fantastic day, Gregg you must have a direct line to the upstairs weather dept, I have been to quite a few of your events over at Bickley now and I think the sun has shone at every one I have been to. Long may it continue, Well done Bickley for yet another outstanding event.

Not a bad day at all Gregg, you are indeed a weather god!!
Thank you to everyone from the Bickley club who worked hard to make it a great well-run day, organiser Kevin Saunders in particular of course.

Did someone say 150+ models? I'll pop some piccies up here in a moment....

Ok, here we go, a few piccies from yesterday

I caught up with regular forumite here, Matt Halton, his B-26 isn't finished but it was nice to see his Sea Fury in close up, flew very well.  His super-detailed P-51 really is something else.

Mark Tilbury (Century UK)  bought the whole Art-Tech fleet! They all flew well, the EDFs especially.

Part of the busy pits area by lunchtime.

Kevin Saunders with his Fly Fly Mirage. What a model! Beautifully finished (and covered), it flew superbly (it's a hovering machine!) on 9S if my memory serves me. Uses the standard retracts albeit with plenty of strengthening added at the mounts.

It was interesting to see many 4-stroke generators quietly chugging away to feed battery
chargers.

Bob Ryan bought this pusher RC converted Multiplex Fox - went like a rocket!

...more pics in a moment........

A few more.......

You can never tire of seeing Bob Partington's Spitfire flying.

The highlight for many was John Ransom's utterly amazing new Corsair - flown well and with sound-effects too.

Purple polo-shirts? It can only be George Worley and Colin Low from 4-Max!

Great stuff. As you mentioned the use of 4 stroke generators, I wondered if anyone has used an old unwanted 4 stroke model engine for this purpose? There must be a few of you out there with the knowledge and skill to do this....would need to be quiet though of course

You could hardly hear these ones and they were petrol powered too. I'm told a gallon lasts for ages.

Yes they will Martyn, not sure of the date yet though. I'd like to get along this year, we'll see.

Phil, yes it's superb, saw it last year at Bickley too. They're quite a double act he and John Ransom, electric R/C modelling at the highest level.
