| 12 forum posts | I have a set of drawings and a half finished Percival Gull. The draweings are from Radio Modeller and labelled R.M.44. so presumably their would have been a build up article in the magasine for this.
If anyone knows wehere I could obtain a copy of this, they could make me very happy!

| 12 forum posts 10 photos | Hi Keith I also have the RM44 plan which I really want to build as it's such a beautiful plane and not a mass produced ARTF. How did you get on with that article, did it come through in the end? How did your build go? Any photos or tips or a copy of that article would be much appreciated as the plan leaves a little to the imagination. Also what will you power yours with? I was thinking a modern OS 72 four stroke would be an equal for the 60 H of yesteryear as stated for the power plant. If you need I have some good high resolution shots of Jean Battens Percival Gull. Just let me know and I can zap them through to you. Any info from you would be of great help especially the form of the ribs for the rudder etc plus photos Cheers Paul |

| 318 forum posts 4 photos | A friend of mine built one of these about 25 years ago, and it is indeed a Dennis Bryant design. Radio Modeller bought the plan rights from Mr Bryant, which is why it it wasn't/isn't included in Dennis Bryant's plans range, which is now marketed and sold by one of the mags. My friend's Gull had an old open rocker OS .60 four stroke in it. No ball of fire obviously, but it did fly in a scale-like way. The model itself flew steadily enough, but sometimes had an odd handling trait during turns. It wasn't anything nasty, and we simply put it down to the fact that it was a scale job rather than a sports model. Edited By Percy Verance on 22/02/2013 15:25:40 |
