| 1 forum posts | Hi all,
I am looking to build a Hawker Hunter using the 118mm wingspan plans from Hobbystore, I want to power it with turbine.
Can anyone assist with the width of fuselage where turbine would mount, ie internal measure of bulkheads by wing.
Happy landings,
Regards,

| 238 forum posts | Am I reading it correctly, 118mm wingspan? That's just over 4.5 inches? Too small to fly with a turbine.
I would suggest starting with an EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) and they are very powerful and suitable for a small to average sized Jet. Jet Turbines is suitable for large models (and are expensive to buy and run.) Edited By Keith Simmons on 07/11/2011 13:21:44 |

| 238 forum posts | That's designed for a Wemotec Mini Fan 480, but you can buy a Lander set up if you want more power. I think 1118mm span is too small, and even if you do manage to put a jet turbine in, it wll be too powerful as it will go like a rocket.
.Ideally double the size (2236mm) and it would be more suitable for a turbine. |
