Working with chainsaws n strimmers as I do I am very happy with tuning my DLE 30. Once got right it can be almost forgotten on aWalbro carb. So I was puzzled when after the summer lay off (live in Spain) the engine was mis behaving. Good spark, carb ok, but not starting, fireing, running great then stopping, flooding.

Hmmmm had a think Remebered an incident from motor bike days,Checked RC groups and got an answer.

Small chinese plug is rubbih. If you have a Chinese plug bin it and fit an NGKplug like all good tools do. Chinese plug gave afat blue spark.

Fitting the NGK cured the problem in an instant.

Thought you might want to know.

Go well F

Flanker - I agree a really good tip - but if everytime someone had a good idea they double posted, things would soon get out of control - we have lots of good ideas on this forum

So I've moved DW's post here and removed the other thread - this is the right topic area for this.

Here's another good idea. If you make the thread title 'DLE 30 - Change the plug now!', BEB, people would be able to find it quickly in the future when they use the search function.

With the very limited search function on here, a carefully-named thread is very helpful!

BEB,

In the OP there is a capital C in checked, but it comes after a comma, rather than a full stop.

Can you please sort this out?

Probably best not to interfere with the characters around here

Well moderated moderators have moderated this very moderately. I will take note and moderate my moderate posting habit.

Go well all.
