Wonder if they are feeling the squeeze and noa atble to restock at the right levels, or if they are just messing up.

Seems they are out of stock of more things than thry have stock of, went to order a few motors, ESCs and props, and a few servos to replenish before summer, not a huge amount, maybe it would have been $200 or so, but there was always something out of stock, most of the motors and props I wanted weren't in stock.

Ended up ordering from alternate sources, they weren't like this before, looks like something isn't as it should be.

Giant cod has gone a little bit the same, was looking at 3s lipos the other day and theres more showing 0 stock than they have in, especially popular sizes. Perhaps the suppliers are slacking a bit ?

John.....If you look at the top of GCs homepage it says they're moving again and stock will remain low until May.....out of stock of what i wanted too but i suppose it makes stocktaking easier for them.

I ordered some electric retracts, the $7.99 ones. They were shown as on backorder, but that's ok, no rush. The next day I got an email to tell me they had been packed and sent to despatch.

i think they just have a very high turnover and an accurate stock count so items often appear out of stock but only for a short period.

Feeling the squeeze? Hmmmm, no, it takes time to organise containers to get new stock there and to replenish back orders, it also takes time to get into pattern of predicting sales and stock required that's all, the UK warehouse will eventually match the HK warehouse for size....but Rome wasn't built in a day.

what you need Scott, is a magic thinkometer, you have to know what will be in demand, then do a bit of thinkometering, take into account the 3 weeks to ship once loaded, then the week to clear customs and get it on a trailer, if the thinkometering goes the wrong way, then gear is left in stock, and another order has to be placed, and you order whats popular, then when it gets here, its not so popular, and it goes into stock, shipping from china is never easy, and you can not get it right all the time, can you?

Thanks for the reply Scott but I would like another mx2 as mine is looking very second hand. I've only been flying 4 months but I've taken to it very well, now I know the limits of my planes especially the mx, I'd like another, it's not nice flying planes that look a bit rough. If you get an mx in stock ASAP I would be more than happy. I can't wait for HK UK to get a full stock warehouse, I've sold all my 5th scale race cars and have some money burning a hole in my pocket....

Pleas please get some more mx5 s in stock

Regards

Kev

Alan. It's not a Thinkometer. It is known as 'business expertise' or 'judging the market'. Also business involves a certain amount of financial risk-taking. As in 'ordering lots of things that people MAY not want, you only thought they did.'. Heat and kitchens come to mind.

But you can't expect HobbyKing UK to spring into life fully formed.

They have created a whole lot of interest, as is obvious here.  Which is a good start. Unlike the new 'wonderful' European transmitter, which hasn't. I won't say who's it is.

Mark, another name for a thinkometer is indeed business expertise, it also helps if you can look into a crystal ball,
