I know the model was only £30 from W&Ws, foam EP Mustang, but connected a battery today and no joy.

The ESC did not make the annoying bleep bleep noise and although the servos worked, the motor failed to run.

Connected another ESC and away motor went. I put a test meter on the motor power leads which showed nothing going.

Have I missed something or is the ESC duff?

Regards.

It sounds possible that the ESC is waiting for a lower throttle signal than tour tx is giving it.

Try lowering the throttle trim, and/or throttle end point.

OR maybe it needs calibrating, are there any instructions?
Some ESC's can be calibrated by:-

1 Take off the prop
2 Switch on the Tx and putt throttle to full (right up)
3 Connect the battery (with esc connected to Rx and motor and Rx already bound to Tx etc)
4 Motor beeps to say its in program mode, move throttle stick to bottom, hopefully another beep.
5 Switch it all off and test as normal.

I discovered the channel I was using had throttle reverse inhibited and the sub trims were way off. These re set I followed your instructions to the letter and off she went.smile

Many thanks Chris. I had bought the model for little me but when I took it home Mini Me said "Have you bought me a plane daddy?"

Daddy of course said yes.face 21

Cheers Chris
