How can you be sure that you are ordering from the UK HK warehouse?

Thanks Phil

why do you care? the price is there, the shipping is there, there should be no import charge, or post office charge,

I ordered from the uk warehouse by selecting the uk tab on left hand side of web page.

This will only show the items available from the U.K. warehouse!

Ordered a plane and postage options were for parcelforce. was posted within 12 hours of order!

Not bad considering if from abroad, you normally have to wait days for it to get processed and posted!!

wink

cos it says UK warehouse at the top of the page, and when you purchase it, it takes 2 days to arrive ?

Ahah! But yes, you have to wait for the Hong Kong bank clearance timings it would appear. Using paypal it took 2 days for my last order to be shipped, surprise surprise, after it showed as cleared on my own bank statement. Oh never mind, to replace my Britflight Breeze (sorry Bryce) I've ordered the (Topgun/RICCs) TB20 for less than 30 notes plus carriage. Same power set up as the Breeze, I'll just swap everything over.

Phil here's a tip that I just found out about, if you log on and click on the item you want, dont hit "add to cart" immediately but wait for a couple of minutes and a reduced price pops up!

I think that the pricing is also based on being a previous purchaser.

In my case I only consider, is the price I see better than that available else where.

At present the UK site is limited, I find it easier for my low cost items to purchase from China at present. Then again if immediate supply is required China takes about 2 weeks, sometimes more.

I am looking forward to using the UK branch, especially for kits, as these are not economical from China due to high postage, which then compounds the VAT and handling charges in the UK.

Garbo, if you're a registered user and have made a few purchases and spent a certain amount, the 'discounted' price you see after a wait becomes the 'standard' price for 'platinum' (that discount is then automatic on all items)

LiPos are now starting to appear in the UK warehouse

I'm pretty sure that Scott mentioned that they would be looking at that.

I've not looked but TBH, £14 even for any kit looks steep to me. Anywhere else would be after less than a tenner.

I noticed that they only had a few of each of the 3S 2200s. The 25Cs were sold out before I got to see them and that's what I've been waiting to order.

I ordered some Turnigy 3S 2200 30C packs on Thursday - and they arrived on Tuesday this week.

P&P was £9 for 24 hour parcel force.

Total cost was £29. Just soldered on the Deans plugs and off to test them in the Dogfighter. A quick bench test had them producing 470 Watts - that's more than Wiggo can mange in the Tour de France.

This is about a 15 - 20 Watt increase over the Overlander 20C cells.

How did you get £9pp because when i put my order in it came up with just 3 prices and £14.63 was the cheapest? You know the live chat facility they have on there site well i asked about pp and they said it was automated and they could do nothing about it.

Gary, somewhat confusingly, the check out prices are shown in US Dollars.
$14 is about ?9.

I dont think i am that thick but just tried to order icharger from hk for £49 +9pp which by my maths is £58 so when i get to the credit card bit it now wants me to pay over £90 if that is how they want to conduct themselves over here, cannot even get their web site to work properly they can sod it, another customer lost, i am glad they can afford it.

Gary I think you will find there is no currency sign and it $90 - roughly £57.35

It's a pain and the money I've saved hasn't been worth the confusion and messing about. I'm with you, don't think I'll bother again until HobbyKing is marching down Whitehall flashing pound signs and even then I might not bother.

Thank goodness for the LMS.

To be honest Ian the price was lower than anywhere else but their pp is twice as much as anybody else,i ended up saving a couple of quid by going else where. save money at hk, i dont think so

I have noticed on the HK site home page that if you go towards the bottom on the left hand side you are given the option to change the currency from USD to GBP. However an item does not show up as GBP until you click on it for a detailed view. HTH.

Oh come on guys, don't let the the rest of the world know we are incapable of working

in more than one currency.

I don't mind it being in dollars as it gives an easy price reference across the three warehouses
