I did see you outside the YT tent, but you looked to be tied up selling something. I came back later, but you had disappeared again.  Time travel exists, or at least it passes at a different rate in the Cosford boundaries to the rest of the world.

forgot Paul, sorry, Wasnt selling anything at the YT tent, there was nothing to sell!! we had no stock, only the display aircraft, Wilson, who has all the codes for the warehouse doors, and the 2nd van, had to fly out to china, where he had had a death in the family, should have come say hello Bob, would have been ok,

I was there all weekend camping, but i didnt see any dodgey panama hats ? lol

I did buy my ticket off a bloke on the friday evening that my little lad said looked like father christmas on his holidays tho ha ha,

Had a great weekend tho, excellent models ( the English Electric Lightning was a personal favourite ), flying, trade, weather (except a couple of spots today). Thats exactly how shows should be. The carpark was packed on saturday so the turnout seemed very good, especially the camping more than Ive seen for a few years.

Hi Alan,

I don't know you by sight, but we went yesterday and had a great day in the sunshine watching all the big toys fly about. Loved it!

I did sneak off to the Chester E-fly today though.......

gawd, got to get a sign on the top of me ed, yesterday was a great day, spectators where 8 deep at the fence, all enjoying the flying, car parks where full to bursting, there where 2 incidents, a spitfire that bit the dust, and sadly, one of the 2 demo large corsairs, with the moki radials, engine cut, heavy model went in hard, its an all composite model, many pieces, but overall, the flying was great, did anyone take advantage of one of my better ideas? the flightline walk?

Yep had a wander, dribbled over the lovely Night Fighter Hurricane, and looked forward to it's flight.Could not see much of take off because of the ignorant souls with 3' telephoto lens on their cameras still need to get to the fence and infront of people without any consideration for others,by the time I had embarrassed him to move his butt the Hurricane was on it's nose and port oleo had collapsed, then the only other Hurricane there(think it was TJD models) had aborted sortie.

Ta Davedont know i do somtimes wonder if forumites (hate that word, sounds like an outbreak of insects)dont actually want to meet up, even when you say 1.00 at such a place, rarey do they show,

as for the corsairs, i am sorry, i have no idea which one went in, on the same flight, the other one landed on one wheel, and suffered minor damage, is one owned by Trevor Wood? he went on to fly his superb sea fury later on,

Good show and great weather after a few showers in the morning on Sunday.

Impressed with the big lightening and the 90% Pitts Python with the microlight engine in. The boss however wasn't too impressed with the commentator!

That and the Yak. Seems the larger one gets, the less power-to-weight ratio there is. Suppose the engines in these models are not really designed for loads of power, as they are meant for microlights. A bit like the early petrol engines - they did their job, but not much power.

Until someone brings out a 400cc model engine, large models in that range would be limited to marginal power. The Yak hardly had any power, using a fine pitch prop to get it going.

Well was it a good day, did I miss anything? Or was it the usual yawn.
