For value for money a Speki DX6i is hard to beat. Couple that with an Orange receiver and you are good to go.

The video upload took ages from my phone.

This is what my X4 does when I switch it on.

Hi Ricky, welcome to the forum!

I've looked hard on the WWW but cant find the symptoms you describe. What happens if you plug the battery into the X4 without the TX on? Do the lights alternately flash?

At the moment I can only suggest the following:

1. Make sure the X4 battery is charged.

2. Make sure that the throttle equals zero when the throttle stick is in its lowest position, otherwise you may have problems binding.

3. Set all the trims to zero.

4. Make sure the dual rates are OK, I think the defaults are 50% in the easy mode and 100% in expert.

5. Try re-setting the accelerometers (the stick wiggle thing).

6. Put a post on the RC groups site as they get quite a few hits.

7. If all else fails try to contact the importer/distributor to see if there is a known fix.

I'm miffed that I cannot really help with your problem, and I really hope you get it sorted.

I got one of these a few weeks ago ... I was confused by the binding process.

The Tx would not program until the Rx was powered and responding to the Tx ... not the same as say Spektrum gear ...

It apears the Tx needs a response from the Rx to be able to go into programming mode ... had me pulling my hair out to begin with !!

Hello. Got the hubson x4 quad from banggood. Would not bind. They sent new transmiter ...weeks later. Exactly the same results. This problem has led me hear. I see someone has the same troubles. Was it ever resolved? Any help out there before I go craxy. Thanks

Dear Dave, Just wanted to say thanks for enabling me to sort out the 'wayward' habits of my new Hubsan X4 and for clarifying the re-coding method to enable stable hovering. Best wishes,Alan Wright Suffolk

Hi, I have just got the X4 bug, bought one from maplins the other day and love it, now waiting for an X4 V2 to arrive in the post tomorrow, really glad i found this thread, though it wont solve the prob im currently having, it is useful to know, cant believe they didnt put the info in the instructions.

with regard to Ricky Shales post I think (after a bit of net surfing) that the Tx has been inadvertantly put into Mode 1 settings - something to do with turning the tx on with the sticks in the uppermost position.

anyway I found these vids by Hubsan that show a different calibration technique for both mode 1 and 2 which may be useful to some
