| 2041 forum posts 1 photos | Hello Ian,Just found the following, http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=613024 , shows a new model of the Handley Page Hereford by Chris Golds,(uk modeller from Devon) essentially a Hampden with in-line engines. Apart from that there seem to be very few scale model plans of the Hampden, except two drawings for free-flight models. You would probably be better off scaling up the drawings in books, such as the following. Try Donald, David and Lake, Jon. (eds.) Encyclopedia of World Military Aircraft. London: AIRtime Publishing, 1996. ISBN 1-880588-24-2. Gunston, Bill. Classic World War II Aircraft Cutaways. London: Osprey, 1995. ISBN 1-85532-526-8. Mondey, D. The Hamyln Concise Guide to British Aircraft of World War II. London: Hamlyn/Aerospace, 1982. ISBN 0-600-34951-9. Moyle, Harry. The Hampden File. Tonbridge, UK: Air-Britain Historians Ltd., 1989. ISBN 0-85130-128-2. The British Bomber since 1914 by Putnam 1994(p.305. ISBN 0-85177-861-5 |

| 4 forum posts | Ian, Get a hold of the Warpaint Data file which should still be available (http://www.warpaint-books.com/) it has 3-views. Also, go here:- http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw_aw.html#2 ...click on the HP Hampden links which take you to a new page then scroll down and save the zip files (both the same IIRC!?). Be warned, even Chris Golds had to enlarge the Hampdens wing tip chord to avoid potential tip-stalling:- http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=613024 Good luck! Les, A Hampen fan ;o) |
