More about me:

I've been building models since about the age of 7 (as of 2012 Im 48) and now fly fixed wing power & gliders. I think its fair to say I have done my modelling apprenticeship with probably the entire Keil Kraft scale series (with mixed success), and loads more from their range, my best ever free flighter was their Competitor. Then when I was about 12 I bought my first engine (it was (is) a second hand DC Sabre - I still have it), which took me into control line. When I was about 14 I got my first radio set, a second hand 2 channel Horizon. A blue box with 1 gymbal, thats why I fly mode 2. It found its way into a couple of slope soarers, namely a second hand Sperber, and a Monterey (plan built which I think is still available). I taught myself to fly over the purbecks on the south coast and still love slope soaring. My first powered model was a Tyro Too. I like to build and fly in equal measure. Work wise I'm a contract software developer, with over 13 years in the industry. I develop ASP.NET (some ASP Classic - but its out of date now) and SQL Server databases.
