More about me:
Its my old man's fault!..my earliest memories of our great hobby stem back to me running after a 'Shark Face' after the rubber band snapped on the escapement.
Started learning to fly fixed wing in the early 80's, my first model was a Super skyman trainer powered with a meteor 40 and was also my first build (with a lot of help). Second model was a Gangster 52 which I believe is still in the loft at my parents house.
Things came to a halt in the late 80's as I discovered the female kind plus I started my engineering training which lasted 5 years.
Then got back into modelling and was drew to the aerobatic side of the hobby.
I enjoy all aspects of the hobby but like a challenge. I built my first gas turbine in the mid 90's and was a disaster. Second engine was a KJ 66 which ran a flew really well, I also built a couple of pulse jets but her 'downstairs ' was not to impressed with the noise.
For the last few years I have started playing around with model autogyros as the fixed wing side was getting a little boring. Since then I have designed and built about 20 of these fascinating machines with lots of ideas for more!.
After getting my A and B test I became a club instructor and that really gives me a kick helping others.
Don't take modelling too seriously, be safe and just enjoy yourself!
