More about me:

Lifetime interest in airplanes and modelling - not always together as I've been into ship modelling and currently have an '0' gauge model railway as well as the planes! And a lovely, very understanding, wife! I was a professional engineer in the "day job", but recently retired, so I really enjoy the building side as well as the flying.

I'm a member of a great club based on the Wirral in the NW  of Englandwhere, as well as my own flying, I am an instructor. I very much enjoy introducing new flyers to this wonderful hobby and one of my reasons for supporting this forum is the excellent work it does helping beginners.

What do I fly? Well anything fixed wing I can get my hands on basically! My current favourite is a Wots Wot which I love flying - not the most precise aerobat in the world, especially in the roll, buy a great feeling when you do manage to occassionally get it right!. By background I was 100% an IC flyer, but lin recent years have been very into electric power. Recently I found myself at the field with 4 models - all electric! I've even been known to fly the odd 2m powered glider (reluctantly and badly). I fly multi-rotors professionally and have a commercial licence, I am a named pilot on a CAA Permit and UAV Operations Manager for a UK University.

As I say I enjoy building and usually have at least one project on the go as a build blog. On top of that I have particpated in nearly all of Mass Build projects so far and as a Mod help to administer the scheme.
