The March Grand Prize Draw

Win a superb CMP Cessna-182 Skylane Kit!

Andy Ellison recently reviewed this larger CMP version of the Skylane in RCM&E

March already? That can only mean we have a new kit to give away to a lucky recipient. In February we had a Tiger Moth and this month we've selected another aviation classic, albeit from a different era.

The lovely kit retails for £119.99 and can be configured for i.c. or electric power (both mounts are included). The spec is as follows -

  • Name - Cessna-182 Skylane 50
  • Manufacturer - China Model Products
  • UK distributor - J.Perkins Distribution Ltd
  • www.jperkinsdistribution.co.uk
  • Wingspan - 165cm (65ins)
  • Wing area - 36.5dm2
  • Length - 125cm (49.2ins)
  • Approx flying weight - 2950 - 3100g (6.5-7lbs)
  • Engine - 46-52 two-stroke (52-61 four-stroke)
  • Suits - 5-channel R/C with 5 servos

The model features a pre-painted glass-fibre fuselage with balsa and ply wings and tail-feathers - the moving control surfaces are fluted/ribbed just like the full size too. A pre-painted cowl, pre-formed undercarriage and a host of scale fittings add to the appeal, while wheels, i.c. motor bearers, a fuel tank along with a comprehensive hardware package complete the contents. There's a lot of model in the box and whilst not a trainer, she'd make a great first 'scale' project.

As usual, just leave a post in the forum thread below to enter the draw. We'll pop all the names in a hat and draw a winner on 31st March. You've got to be in to win, so what are you waiting for!
