Pick a plane 2008!

Vote for the aircraft you would like to see featured as a free plan in RCM&E

2007 was the year of the Typhoon, but what's it to be this year?

Last year we asked readers to vote for the aircraft they'd like to see featured as a free plan model in RCM&E. The request found a big response with the eventual winner, the Hawker Typhoon beating the Hurricane into second place.

Once again we'd like readers to choose the subject of the free plan to be included in this years winter special issue. Typhoon designer Tony Nijhuis did us proud last year and he's again agreed to turn the winning aircraft into reality.

Just as a little incentive, anyone who leaves their voting suggestions will have their name put into the hat and we'll send a little prize to the first name we pull out when we choose the winner. I'm not sure what the prize will be but we'll make sure it's something jolly nice!

Cast your vote!

  • Please use the thread link below to list your top 3 aircraft suggestions. State your power preference if you like - ie. electric or i.c.
  • You can suggest any aircraft type from early-vintage through to modern day.
  • Vote just the once please!
  • Please respect other site users and try to keep the thread on-topic - start a new thread to discuss the voting or any points arising.
  • We'll close the voting at the end of March and announce the winning aircraft and draw winner soon after.
  • If there's no clear winner then we will make a short-list of potentials to go to a final vote.
