New RCM&E videos

just added!

We've just added two more videos to our front page video gallery.

  • Alex Whittaker discusses and demonstrates his lathe to accompany his beginners article in the March 2008 issue of RCM&E.

  • Watch the flying video camera footage from the Multiplex Fun Jet flight we posted earlier.

Keep checking back as we'll be regularly adding new videos.

Having owned a micro lathe for some years now ( not this particular version ) I would really like further tutorials in this format, on actual useage - EG, turning, boring, and milling procedures, correct speed selection for different work, and so on. I have no formal engineering background or training, and all the work on my lathe is self taught, and I am keen to learn as much as possible. I have made many things on it, but ususally just simple fixed parts, the most ambituos to date were the retract oleos for my spitfire.
