New Wasp motors from BRC Hobbies

First Look.........

Exclusive to BRC Hobbies, this new line of brushless inrunner and outrunner motors are available in sizes to suit most applications. Each outrunner is supplied with a full mounting kit, prop adaptor and 3.5mm gold connectors. The now familiar and excellent BRC Hobbies data sheet included with each motor gives current draw data across a range of prop and Li-Po sizes so purchasers know how the unit will perform thus making selection far easier.

The Wasp 3542 1000Kv 400w outrunner motor you see here is £29.99 and the B2835 2200Kv 220w inrunner is £24.99. I'm using a Wasp 3548 unit in a review model and first impressions have been very good.

That outrunner is exactly the same as the turnigy ones from U/H. The description, illustration and spec is identical. I have several of these turnigy motors in several flavours and find them excellent value for money - indeed a large 1200 Watt 400Kv version is going in my Hangar 9 Camel.

( still a fair bit cheaper from U/H even with postage and customs etc ! )

They run smoothly, and seem pretty well made.

For those people still preferring the option of being able to buy in the UK, from a reputable dealer such as Brian, it is a good move. Incidentally the price on Brian's site for the outrunner featured is £25.99 NOT £29.99, so not bad at all. Well done BRC.
