| One lucky person must win this beautiful model!
|
Staying with the classic aviation theme, the prize for April here at modelflying.co.uk is a wonderful 90" span Piper Cub. With a retail value of £200, the superb ARTF model by CMP has been beautifully built and I have to say that I was genuinely impressed by what I saw when laying out the parts for the photo you see above, it's a very desirable drop of aeroplane.
The spec' is as follows -
Power - glow or petrol
Wingspan - 231cm (90.95ins)
Wing area - 76dm2
Length - 150cm (59.1ins)
Weight - 5300 - 5400g (11-12lbs)
Engine - 90-108 2-stroke (110-120 4-stroke) or 26cc Petrol
Radio - 4-channel with 5 servos
UK distributor - J.Perkins distribution, www.jperkinsdistribution.co.uk
There's an impressively high level of pre-build with formed sprung undercarriage, a pre-painted cowl, moulded windows, engine detail, special wing servo hatch covers and much more. Scale wheels are also included with the traditional yellow 'Cub' inner trim of course.
She would make an ideal first scale project and a great model for some relaxed summer flying. You can see more pictures of the model at the JP website Click here to go straight there.
