Horizon Hobby UK 'Insight 2008' day - pt.2

More new models at the event..........24/4/08

Following on from part.1 yesterday, here are some more pics from the trade and press day held earlier this week. Some very new models are below, ones that have yet to see light of day in the U.S. let alone the U.K.!

As well as being a talented designer Mike McConville is a genuinely nice guy and it was great to chat to him - He found time for a 'Spektrum smile' before flying......

....and boy, can he fly! His display with the Sukhoi was extraordinary

How's this for a low knife-edge pass?

This is the new 38" span Ultimate 20-300 10e EP from E-flite - fast and furious

One of the big birds, the 105" span 35% Extra 260 is for 116cc petrol engines.

Mike wrung her out a bit.......

The new EDF F-15 performed well, note the retracts

Radian is a new model from Parkzone and designed to get Horizon firmly into Multiplex territory to compete with the Easy Glider. The model will be RTF and this pre-production model flew well.

This 55" span T-34 Mentor is supplied RTF with a DX6 transmitter , pre-installed radio, motor and ESC. A trainer, it has preset 3-position flaps and moulded leading edge droops.

The Wild Card twin is another new addition to the Platinum range

Sadly this model hadn't been equipped to fly but it drew a lot of attention non the less - 62" span with two Power 32 brushless motors, 2x60amp ESCs and requiring a 4-cell 3200mAh Li-Po.
