I LIKE IT
Strengths: Great Flyer, looks great in the air, easy built as to set up at the field
Weaknesses: Some of the plastic parts eg exhausts are fragile, a bit pricey
Overall: not bad at all

LOOKS AND FLIES WELL ... BUT
Strengths: Looks great, very forgiving to fly, no vices in the stall, will float in for landings.
Weaknesses: Landing gear mounts inadequate, will rip the wing apart in the first landing attempts. Plastic trim needs extra anchoring or they will fly off in flight.
Overall: Very well handling plane with retracts, wallows a bit with wheels down. Can use plenty of power for great beat ups but will be happy with less. Apart from the poor wheel mount areas the general construction is good.

A GREAT LOOKING PLANE....ALWAYS DRAWS ADMIRING LOOKS
Strengths: Great build quality, fantastic details and includes everything you need to finish the kit. Mine is the Navy variant.
Weaknesses: Steering nosewheel is not up to the job and most early outings were spoiled by the nose wheel collapsing or pulling its linkage out of the servo. The engine choice has been a difficult one to get right...a .60 didn't have the grunt, a .90 had the grunt but too much weight and now I am using a .70 GMS which hurls the plane round the sky to ooohs and arrrs....I also fitted retracts to clean up the airframe as the fixed undercarriage causes massive drag..This plane needs a lot of runway as approaches are scale like and long rollout...
Overall: It was always an ambition of mine to have a Phantom F4j. As a youngster I used to watch the air defence variants flying CAP out of RAF Wattisham after the retirements of the lightning. For the price its fantastic..I would buy another one for sure.
