GREAT KIT! JUST NEEDS A FEW TWEAKS
Strengths: 1. Good quality wood in kit, well produced parts 2. Quick to build 3. Full Plan 4. All Hardware provided to finish the Airframe 5. Well thought out design. 6. Nice looking Semi Scale plane 7. Very Aerobatic
Weaknesses: 1.Wire undercarriage but can be easily changed to Dural Alluminum (like Photo) 2. Fixed Tailwheel (can be modified to steerable) 3. ABS not Fibreglass Cowl 4. Single Servo for Ailerons (can be modified) 5. Has a tendancy to drop a wing in banked turns if going too slow and could easily tip stall)
Overall: I was very impressed with the quality of the kit, all the wood is well chosen with nicely produced foam core wings, full instructions, plan and a decent selection of hardware. I modified the kit to include two Alieron servos instead of one and I added a steerable tailwheel and Dural alumimium U/C as I believe the kit parts are out dated now. The plane flys well with my Saito F72b (or use a .46 2 stroke) I wouldn't want to use a smaller engine. The plane can drop a wing if you go too slowly in banked turns and could tip stall, however it is a very capable aerobatic plane. Good News! I have been in contact with the maufacturer who tells me he is considering incorporating washout in the wings to eliminate the possible tip stall issue and possibly some of my other suggestions. All in all a very good kit and an enjoyable well thought out design/build
