ALMOST A BUDGET HIGH-END 2.4 GHZ SET

Strengths:
Thirty model memories. Excellent Rx response. Sticks have a lovely feel. .
Weaknesses:
Poor instructions. The standard PCM9XII manual is supplied with what looks suspiciously like a rushed extra few pages in a separate document. The only way I could work out the basics was to phone the distributors (MacGregor) for advice. On the other hand, the advice was excellent and freely given.
Overall:
I've had one of these for several months and it has the usual quality JR feel to it. Overall, it's a very good radio with an excellent RF link - the supplied 9 channel RD921 Rx is visibly more responsive than a Spektrum AR7000 Rx using standard digital servos. Once the workings have been understood, programming is fairly straightforward. For the original price (I paid £475 for a combo), it was excellent, but the current asking price of nearly £700 is too much.
