Hi all, I am new to the site, but after damaging a number of my planes I have invested in a serious piece of kit to reverse engineer parts. I have a Microscribe g2x digitiser. So what? Well as an example you bought a new part, had an accident, what you can do is send it me. I can measure it and reprint it for you. The accuracy of the digitiser is around 0.25mm, so very good. I have used this procedure to reprint a nose cone for my spitfire and it worked a treat, and nice and lightweight! I can always just supply a CAD model of whatever of what I have measured if you needed to have something machined elsewhere.
