  2. Model finished ..flys really nice with the os90 four stroke ..rudder is needed in turns ,but feels very smooth and predictable
  3. Sorry guys, I'm asking what's already been asked but I can't find my issue. I'm using blue Chinese covering - I am covering in white and blue but I am getting white smears on the blue. This is happening on parts where I am not applying any white but there is a chance there is some residue on the covering iron sock (although it only shows up towards the end of the process so it's hard a few passes of the iron). I've taken an photo: Is this likely to come off with some liquid like nail polish remover or white spirit? (Didn't want to apply something that will mean I have to redo it if it's not necessary) Or is this something to do with the temperature I'm applying with or the fact it's just cheap Chinese film?
  4. I can get paper off by dampening paper with methylated spirits. It takes about 5 minutes to soak through to the glue them peels off easily.

  6. Hi Rich, I think the wing is swept back, which would explain the apparently rearward position of the CG as seen on the root rib. It’s probably around 25-30% of the mean chord. Rog
  7. Brilliant. Love it! A really unusual scheme versus the more usual greys and greens. Looks excellent.
  8. Exhaust details were added. Completed the decals and the panel lines with minimal weathering. May do more when I receive my pencil set. It looks too busy to my eye at this stage. Set the CG at 80mm with 80gr of weight in the box. I still to paint the prop adapter... and seal the paint/weathering with PlastiKote clear sealer...
  9. Ours is tiny compared to yours it still takes us a couple of hours to cut the grass. I think that is a good price to pay for what you have. Enjoy.
  10. If anyone has an original Avicraft Moronic or a Chris Foss Unowot I wud consider a swap if interested
  11. It is a lovely strip Murat and very well drained too. It does take between 2 and 3 hours to cut the grass though!
  12. What a lovely field Ron.. Plenty of space to take a long slow approach for landing..
  13. I will therefore stand corrected on lipos
  14. I recently did some research on this and from what I could find BWC can only effect NiCad's, NiMh and PB batteries (not so much in cars but has been found on some farm machinery) but does not affect Lithium batteries due to the way that they work. A bit more here, 5th post down,
  15. Hi Ian The CG is 100 mm back from the Leading Edge. I have the plans if you need any further help please PM me. Regards. Murat

  17. I’m thinking about getting an Airbrush. Does anyone here have experience with it? What would you recommend? What do you use it for? Thanks in advance!
  18. Black wire corrosion can happen with most battery types including lipos not just Nimh's
  19. Welcome to the hobby/sport. Hopefully you've been able to find a club so that experienced members can help you out and give tuition.
  20. Moulding fuselage I tried this method but it didn't work out right for me.
  21. I have had a problem with the foam board the paper will not peel off. It has made it very hard to work with and bending is difficult. I have moulded the main fuselage but it is badly out of square. I have moulded the fuselage extention by a different method which has come out well and is square. So I will strip down the original main fuselage and redo it. My glue gun is not good and not helping either! Oh well it's a learning curve.
