  1. Yupp and his aerobatic partner Skip Volk that flew a similar Super Chippy was killed while practising for a show in '72. What a display they did..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B06YtngsplE
  2. Holy Moly, what a pilot ? Don't think I'll be trying this in my Super Chippy just yet anyways, esp 7:50 onwards https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PWOP_UxF5Q
  3. I think I should mention that my Chippie has several modifications to the standard build as far as I can tell from the SLEC description. This could mean my experience will be somewhat different to yours if you build to the plan/manual. My 'USPs' are as follows.... Electric power not I/Cc, apparently the first so to be built so was leading edge at the time. Runs on 2 x 6S 5800mAh LiPos and a separate 2S Rx LiPo to power the radio gear and other electronics. It has air retracts fitted, Advanced Scale Models Retracts with a Xicoy V2S valve controller. The U/C legs are spring oleos. It is mainly fully skinned and glassed then spray painted. If all goes well with this one and SLEC start making the Pennzoil kits again I would like to go a petrol converted twin as is fitted to my 1/4 scale Cub J-3. That's got a SC FS-160 Horizontal Twin Cylinder 4 Stroke Engine With Full Petrol Conversion - it's so sweet ?
  4. All ready for the maiden test flight on Tuesday if all goes to plan and the wind dies down ?
  5. Brilliant, thanks Tim. Forgot to include the CoG in my question, what is it please? Flap throws would useful too. Ta

  9. Posted by Caveman on 20/09/2020 22:15:49: Looks like it could be an Eros. Plane here Eros GDB Marvellous Thank you GDB, couldn't be anything else could it? The tailwheel is another giveaway, not seen it done like that before. Edited By BikerDon on 20/09/2020 22:53:28
  10. My flying buddy Steve bought her today at the Model Air show at Old Warden today, I'm envious obviously
  11. I'm thinking the most distinctive feature of this model which would help identify it is the tailplane location - half way up the fin   Edited By BikerDon on 20/09/2020 22:11:03
