Hi Gineral, You may have to take the retract out, I'm afraid - the leg tends to be retained by grubscrews through the pivot position, which will be hidden inside the model at present!
Great flying weather in Dundee on Sunday, although there's still a fair bit of water on the field. Chairman Kenny maidened his Phoenix P-47 Thunderbolt in his usual spirited fashion.
Four of us had the now-compulsory Sharkfaces, all electric powered and on 3-channels. Absolute mayhem in the air!
Yup, it's definitely an MDS 40. I have one, in it's hard polystyrene box, in front of me as I write. It has the digits 08.92.1503 cast or stamped into the edge of the mounting flange opposite the exhaust. P.M. me for a scan of the instruction leaflet.
Don't forget to put some contrasting trim on your model, Tom- it's very easy (especially with grey skies) to lose orientation on an all-white model. My late brother-in-law landed a glider on the roof of a bakery because he didn't know which way it was going!
