  1. Thanks for the info chaps, it gives me some where to start. Seems as though the mini jazz was quite a popular model some time back, looking forward to getting it in the air.
  2. Hi all, just built a Malcom Corbin Mini Jazz and want to go with an electric setup. Its designed for .15 size glow engines so, just wondered if anybody else has done this or, can tell me what motor size would be adequate ?
  3. Hi all, sorry for the delay in responding, had to go away at short notice. Thanks Gonzo for that link , as Mike said it was spot on. And thank you Mike Yates for the contact, sound like a very useful man, ive put him in my phone book and will contact him next week. Be good to find out what and how much stock he has. Brokenenglish, yes, i was using a gf prop so another lesson learnt there. I will have to start collecting some old nylon jobs. Thanks guys for all the info
  4. Hi all, what a day ! took my little Tomboy out today for a chuck and wish i hadnt. It landed nose in and what i thought was a broken prop turned out to be a broken crankshaft. Then to add insult to injury, i managed to break the crank on my boddo mills while trying to run it in the hanger. UNBELIEVABLE ! You couldnt make it up could you. Anyway, the reason for this post is to see if anyone knows of a source of spares for these engines, or even has some spares laying around that they wouldnt mind parting with, in exchange for some currency of course. Any helpers ?
  5. the tank came with a filtered clunk so im ok there, i just need one for the feed from the can and i should be good to go. Amazing what you can learn in a short space of time on hear. Cheers ED
  6. cheers mark, ive worked it out pretty much as you said and no need for the tee piece. Thanks for all the help chaps Steve
  7. The feed comes from the tank into the tee, then one tube goes to the fuel filler dot and the other goes through a filter then into the carb. Like i said petrol is new to me, so i can only go by the instructions, unless somebody can tell me a better way to do it ?
  8. But did you buy them for a fish tank or a model ?
  9. Excellent, thanks for that guys.

    Fuel Tee

Hi all, need a bit of help with the fuel line of my first petrol engine model. The instructions say i need a fuel tee but after going to Als and Slough models, who say they dont sell them, im now at a loss as where to go. I just assumed it would be a standard part for a petrol fuel system that you would get anywhere. Can any experienced petrol engine user tell me where to get one please ? Steve
  11. Mode 2   South East   South East   Self taught   Mode 2 was how the ARTF instructions said it should be. Who was i to argue ?  Just read DB sport & scale post, i did spend a lot of time on a pheonix sim, and dont think i could have done it without it, excellent learning tool.Edited By timberfix on 12/01/2010 21:08:12
  12. Hi John, thanks for that, that makes things much clearer for me.   Keep up the excellent work and i will continue to tune in. Cheers.
  13. Hi John, very interesting build article and a fine job youre making of it. I am building a Flair kit at the mo, and the thing thats really confusing me is engine installation. Do you build the engine in as you go, as i cant see how else you would do it. I notice youve made what looks like a bearer arrangement , will the engine be removable once complete?  Cheers Steve
  14. Hi there, i keep hearing a lot about the new boddo mills and cant wait to get one but, can anybody tell me how to get hold of one. Cannot find them in magazines or on the internet or anywhere else. HELP....
