  1. Andrew i think you should sell it...........to me! always wanted one, never got round to buying one and now they're rarer than rocking horse dung!
  2. can i vote for two models? Flea-Fli or Curare 25, but somebody must be able to provide short or full kits
  3. I've stopped rc flying recently and can't see myself flying again for the next 2-3 years, but don't mind spending an hour or two in the workshop now and then. My choice would be......doh......Martyn's Curare 25 as long as somebodydoes a short or full kit of it.
  4. i cant talk from experience here, but, loving this plane i've read lots. this swing is a common trait with twin engine taildraggers apparently, and there is not much that can be done about it, other than to hold in 'up' elevator at the very beginning, advance throttle veeerrry slowly keeping the rudder stick employed as necessary, and releasing elevator once you have enough speed for the rudders to be effective. only then advance to takeoff power, again smoothly, and almost let her fly off the deck unaided. i am assuming the plane behaves well once airborne?
  5. civilian semi scale followed by warbirds and club level aerobatics
  6. insurance broker to pay for mortgages and bills, part-time yacht charter and delivery skipper to fund the hobbies. apart from aeromodelling i am into classic mini's, have a small collection of diecast models, am restoring a classic fibreglass 21 foot motor boat and have just taken up cycling in an attempt to restore the waistline i had 15 years ago This apart from husband to a VERY patient wife and dad to two daughters, aged 8 and 11, with ever-increasing time demands.
  7. option 6 above sit down, bury head in both hands and cry. that brings all the lads round for the postmortem. on a really good day some generous soul may even offer words of consolation or an old hack when i say none of my other 20-odd models are flyable (this latter seems to happen to everyone but me).
  8. 1275 grams Martyn, but if i win you will have to fly to Malta to buy the beers now that you have built this beautiful model, and my asp.25 is sitting in a box, maybe awaiting a tuned pipe, where can we order a short kit for this?
  9. if overseas 'forum only' interest counts, then i'm in, from not-so-sunny-and-hot-right-now Malta
  10. would absolutely love a curare (does the curare 25 Martyn is putting together count), but also have an unbuilt great planes ultra sport 40. is this too recent?
  11. will check the retail price for you tomorrow if this can work for you.
  12. Matthew, are you ok with an artf? 55 inch span. i can send you one from malta, new in box, if you like.
  13. yes please! i have an os61fx set aside for mine. should suffice!
  14. hey Steve, have you guys actually formed this association? plan to start building the Rapture 50 right after the new year, you may hear from me with a million questions anyone wanting a 50 size pattern model could do MUCH worse than buying one of these. especially if like me, you have developed an allergy to pallet-wood arf's!! 2 landings and the u/c rips out of most arf's.
  15. looking great. brand new asp 25 awaiting patiently.
