  1. Hi, I can't promise anything but these people , TSH Garden Machinery | Repairs and Maintenance in Bury Greater Manchester (tshgm.co.uk) are usually very helpful.
  2. Hello, I am willing to sell my Raptor 50 which has a lot of Quick UK upgrades along with a little run OS50sx, more economical than the Hyper, along with a Curtis Youngblood silencer though I would not be interested in selling individual parts. Feel free to get in touch if you want any further details including pictures and I'll do my best to help. Regards, Philip Ogden.
  3. No problem, mine flew really well on a Laser 180, didn't need more than 1/3 throttle. I'm probably going to go the other way and try a Laser 80. If that is not quite enough, I've got a Laser 150 to try also. Seems a very versatile, fun, model and flies like a big trainer. Enjoy!
  4. This should tell you all you need to know **LINK**
  5. **LINK** appears to be a similar product which I have used successfully in the past.
  6. **LINK** does Sopwith logos in various sizes. Should be worth a look.
  7. Assuming BMFA members, with at least an A certificate, do not have to register till at least June 2020, will a BMFA number be sufficient to display on a model?
  8. All working now, thanks again.
  9. Thanks very much for that, I'll give it a try.
  10. I am trying set the timer so that opening the throttle will start the timer counting down, and closing it will pause the timer. The instructions seem to indicate this is possible but I cannot fathom out how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks.
  11. Tamiya now make a white vinyl tape of varying widths down to3mm especially for curves. Works very well.
  12. The most important factors in a resuscitation attempt are good CPR and early defibrillation. The longer these are delayed, the worse the probable outcome. Bearing in mind a lot of flying fields are of the beaten track, it will probably take some time before the ambulance arrives and that is speaking as a Paramedic. If nothing else, good CPR will buy the patient some time. I'm sure a lot of clubs have had this discussion but human nature being what it is, nothing will be done until after an event. I appreciate £1,000 is not a small sum but what price peace of mind? At least you won't be saying "if only we had bought the defib."
  13. If it will run with the vent off the muffler, the pressure nipple could be blocked.
  14. I've just ordered a Mick Reeves Super Reaper, not my first jet, to be powered by a Wren 75, 18lbs. thrust, and was wondering if anyone had any useful tips for this model. Most of what I can find online seems fairly positive which suggests there won't be too many problems, just looking for any pearls of wisdom!
  15. I recently bought a 100watt soldering iron from Maplins, **LINK** , cost all of £15 and is excellent for soldering XT90 connectors with fairly thick wire.
