  2. How about the Supermarine Attacker. A not often modeled taildragger jet.
  3. Does anyone know whether there are any generic receivers which are compatible with the Spektrum DX6i transmitter?   ESky seem to do a 2.4ghz receiver, but there is no info on compatibility.   Any ideas?
  4. Thanks guys,   The LIPOS are fairly new, unfortunately i had a cheap charger which developed a fault and spiked one cell on each battery when i tried to charge them with it (damn!). so i was hoping to salvage at least one working battery out of the 2 to save a few quid. I think i need to do alot more research before making any attempt so i'll leave things alone for the time being - seems the safest option.
  5. Hi There   I have a couple of dead 3 cell LIPO (15c 2200mah) packs with one dead cell in each (same rating & manufacturer). Can i take a live cell from one pack and replace the dead cell in another with it safely? Is this advisable or a no-no?   any advice much appreciated - thanks
  6. Thanks Ben,   I've sent an email over to Ken, so hopefully i can get on a waiting list.   The ME262 is sitting waiting for a maiden flight and i could probably do with someone more experienced for some backup. I've mainly been flying helis for a while and it has been a few years since i last flew fixed wing so i may have jumped in at the deep end. However it's a GWS foamie so no great expense if busted - just a bit different from my old graupner electromax trainer. I've been putting in quite a few hours on the simulator to try to make up the learning curve.   If all goes pear shaped i guess i'll just have to buy another trainer.   thanks again for the advice.
  7. Thanks for the welcome Phil.   I've already checked the clubs list for my area but it seems they have limited training facilites unfortunately - some are also only currently taking BMFA A qualified members.   If i can get myself to the point where i'm ready to take the test then i can probably join a club no problem. I have no problem paying for some lessons, it's just a case of finding someone who is reasonably local with the facilities.....
  8. Ditto Bruce   I have "RC plane master" and it's great value for around £45
  9. Hello all   I'm new to the forums, but have been successfully crashing rc models of all types for a few years now.   Currently i run a DX6i radio system and have a TREX 450 heli and a GWS ME262 foamie in the hanger. I purely run electric models as IC engines are far too scary. can anyone please help me? I'm looking for flight training in the Portsmouth area of Hampshire. I would like to get the BMFA A cert. I don't have a permanent flying field so would happily join a club in the area who have the time to do flight training.   Glad to be here
