  1. I see that the the December issue was labelled December and January vol 63 number 12. This issue was very thin on content and certainly did not make up 2 issues. Now I see the there was no Vol 64 number 1, and the current issue is marked February Vol 64 Number 2, which is also very poor on content. I hope that RCM&E are going to compensate customers who have a yeary subscription as I do. Dr. D. Wilson
  2. Aha! I had forgotten about Votex, thank you everyone, I will give them a call. I have tried the DIY route, and gone through too many sheets of clear PETG and still did not manage to get a decent result, so I will leave it to the professionals. david ‹(•¿&bull› Flight....The art of missing the ground. ====
  3. Does anyone know of a company that will Vac form individual items from my own plug? All the companies I have found only do quantities.
  4. Alex Whittaker - July 2017 I really enjoyed your peice on the Refuller. Having purchased a couple of Nick Banks fuel caps a couple of years ago, and having most of the required bits, I purchased a couple TAYG fuel cans from Amazon. I would love to know how you got the Nick Banks fuel cap to fit. The TAYG cans have a finer thread than all my generic cans, so Nicks caps will do not screw down and sael I emailed Ian yesterday, and he tells me that Nick has not changed tha cap a all, so would love to hear your work around. Kind regards David Flight....The art of missing the ground. ==== Dr. D. Wilson Co. Durham
  5. I really think we have heard enough about the testing/lack of, etc.etc. In case you have not noticed there have been many catastrophic failures on full size aircraft that have abviously been thoroughly designed/tested. Accidents happen, get over it!
  6. Seems most of you chaps do not feel safe, so why bother attending these air show in the first place? Just let the people enjoy their hobby, this is enough of a nanny state these days anyway. I was doing flying shows in the late 50's, now that would have made your hair curl. At full size shows, we would all line the runway, even sitting on the edge of the tarmac.
  7. Large model shows are strictly controlled anyway, the flight-line should never be over people, as her, perfectly safe.
  8. Thanks Paul, they are just the job, I presume you can carefully take out the pins and change them over, same as servo pins. Pity someone does not sell there in the UK, david ‹(•¿&bull› Flight....The art of missing the ground. ====
  9. Alan, if you read my original post, you will see that I asked where you can buy the plugs in the UK without ordering 1000. I know which plug is used, I have found them available in the US, but with the US practice of inflated postage charges, I will not order from there. david
  10. Does anyone know where I can get the battery connectors for the Aurora 9 TX battery,so I can run the TX on 2 cell lipo? I understand these are called Elmec connectors. I have found where I can buy 1000 ... doh!
  11. Hello Andy Many thanks, that was a great help. I had a feeling a 12x6 would be ok, but was not sure with it being an older engine. Best regards David @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  12. Hello Andy Many thanks for your post, I have sent you a PM with my address. Regards David @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  13. I have just acquired an Open Rocker OS60 FS for a vintage 100" model. Please can anyone advise me on the recommended prop for this engine, as I presume it is a longer stroke that modern four strokes, so may require a larger prop.   Thanks David   sooo....was that a soft crash or a hard landing? @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  14. Posted by James E on 02/10/2010 19:58:29: You could always be slightly different with the colour scheme   supposed to blend in with the twilight sky for recon missions   Haha!! Nice .... must have feel a female pilot )
