  1. I chickened out on trying it with the straight drive G38
  2. I flew my 1/3 scale moth this year, got the G38 on reduction drive but have a Valach 60 to try in it IMG_6635.MOV
  3. There in the bin with the rest of the fuz I think they might be on here if you still back
  4. It was from a very old kit I’ve only know them from the old 80’s SLEC catalogue the die crushed type and the later machined kit that’s now available from SLEC
  5. Most fly with down trim applied mid you troll back for about a week you will see comments about mine flying with up trim I have removed the tail and covering so I can see how it was installed.
  6. Yeah cheers, I did me well, It was the first plane that I had ever flown at a show. It taught me loads and turns out from comments I received at the show, my Antics although not to everyone favour have been quite a inspiration and encouraged others to join in and have a go, just goes to show it doesn’t have cost loads to have some fun
  7. We went to wobbly wheels with a few more this year the opening slot was very busy on day1 over ten flying not sure exactly but it was busy. I recently sold one of my Hannibal’s to my mate Rob Staines as I was expecting to purchase a similar looking plane that was slightly bigger, but that’s a story best forgotten, Our newest Stampe and Hannibal recruit Rick, completed his first show with a Hannibal, next show he’ll be bringing out his Stampe Alan Page flew his Stampe that I recently upgraded the engine and had a great time by the look of it As did my son William flying a Hannibal and His own Stampe in great gusto I flew Robs Staines Hannibal on the first slot and his Stampe on the second slot, was good fun with both and I do get to fly them both at my local club on a regular basis so know their quirks As for the recently re worked G-Bert think it must have heard that I was retiring it after the weekend and it said hello to a bin, I was in a dilemma what to do with it as got to get PLM out more might have a couple more Stampe lovers soon.
  8. Pleased so far just need to do some forward planning on actually converting one of the Stampe’s was thinking of using one of the screw holes for the original tangs for placement temp fitted to my Moth wing just to see
  9. Yep I know the rivets aren’t as full size It’s more for practical use than scale
  10. Soz to disappoint I used a CNC mill to cut them out they will be pinned and bonded, However the cross bracing should hold them In compression so probably doesn’t need to be to fussy, Well that is if Practical Scale are correct about there 1-3 scale struts only needing pinning at the bottom
  11. Have made a slight bit of progress with my quest to do away with the tangs and rigging each time
  12. Had a quick look but not sure how to find it via the link provided, Do you have to register to view it
  13. The variation will be determined how the plane is built The amount of incidence may vary as to what and where packers are place during the glue drying
  14. 🤷‍♀️ I wasn’t allowed a scooter
  15. Soz but that’s all I have to hand at the moment 😂
  16. Hope the following helps you out as you can see there all different
