  2. Cool you might have struck gold, for old engines, now where did I leave the grinder
  3. My now no longer LMS said you had to treat it as a form of local tax. you can pay petrol and have to drive to get it or walk around the corner for free but pay more at the till. It's was pre internet days. The nearest shop is now 12 miles away, Perkins distributor is 1 mile away. they will not deal with me because I am not a shop, so the so called local shops don't miss out. Fair play they are looking after the model shops. It would not be so bad if I could phone and pay the order to the LMS and collect from Perkins, but no. I once ordered a part for a plane through the LMS I collected it at a show, when I got it home I found it was bent.I thought I would return it direct for exchange at Perkins, It was a £3.00 item, I was told to send it back to the LMS they would send it back to Perkins for exchange and the replacement would be sent to the LMS for collection. Got hump and I ordered a new item from another shop and binned the original part.
  4. Posted by Nick Santovito on 30/01/2015 14:49:59: Cymaz, I found a supply of the binders over here (on the wrong side again) for only $16 for a box of 100, so I've got a nice lifetime supply. You were right, they are an excellent fit for the larger wire sizes. A tip of the hat... Nick Google spine bars plenty out there just waiting. Roll on summer
  5. Try it with tank half full. is it exhaust gasses aerating the fuel. If the clunk pipe has a hole in it, you will see no ill effect if running a full tank as leak will be submerged in fuel Edited By bert baker on 27/01/2015 17:21:58
  6. It's been a while since playing with my CL300. The studs may have a plain section on them to stop them going all the way through. You can get studs with Allen key hole in one end. Or put a slot in them and use a screwdriver
  7. Posted by leccyflyer on 25/01/2015 19:00:38: Posted by David Davis on 25/01/2015 10:48:59: Did they do that after Oliver Stone bought a Laser? Sorry but not familiar with above, have I missed something.
  8. I was told the off button only turns the screen off and couple that with cheap batts it's not good. I use them on a regular basis they seem to last longer the more you use them.
  9. Hmm I think I would check for induction air leak . I.e.. where the carb fits the case is there a seal and does it seal, also the carb fixing screws can be another place where air gets in. if it is the sliding cotter pin it may still leak. Does it have a tank filter on split clunk pipe in the tank
  10. Hmm if he did purchase it new from Laser it will have his initials stamped on it. I don't recall any of my Laser''s ever having a pressure nipple in the exhaust. It could be he is one of those chaps who just have to fiddle with everything and make a mess of it and have to send it away to have it rectified
  11. So what is it we all need for free with a mag then ?????????????? It's sensible Saturday  today keep it realistic Edited By bert baker on 24/01/2015 12:46:30
  12. Maybe there was a lapse in membership for a short period of time for some of the members, as I understand it instructor levels require continuity in BMFA membership to maintain that status.
  13. I think he is being ok, he has put a fair explanation from his end on the listings, Would have to be a view first prior to purchase
  14. Yeah got all of the above, prop chart was the most used, rcme rib tickler that was the white one with adjustable scale
  15. I looked at the Turbulant auction, for me the only reason to bid on it (not that I did), was that there was a good chance the dummy engine parts were all there, no guarantee but if you are desperately in need ha ho. Also the windscreen looked to be there. Yep naughty in some respects but if you had been after some of the bits that were there it may have been a good buy for someone, perhaps not a good price. but then everyone has the own objectives Edited By bert baker on 24/01/2015 10:16:51
  16. I prefer the Halfords jump pack, it has a built in pump for the air retracts as well as other useful bits
  17. If you ain't getting hassle from locals and don't need the extra members, my advice would be to keep as you are. And stay under the radar
  18. Yep been there replacing fuel nipple on a G38, first thought was it's going to break before I got it in fully.   Edited By bert baker on 21/01/2015 22:33:28
