  1. Hi Andy, Thanks for that. All now becomes obvious! It's the oft repeated phrase isn't it? "when all else fails...........etc." However, I think "the other bit" fits on top also - it looks like the lower side of the cockpit. It certainly fits anyway. Many thanks again. Sorry to have put you in peril climbing into the loft! Bill
  2. I've had my Traplet wood pack for Andy's Jet Provost on the shelf for ages- (I think I'm probably too late for the 2014 mass build!) - but I'm now (at last) starting to build! I think I must have one of the earliest packs, because even though the tip tank sections have the aerofoil aperture omission rectified the former F1 still has no fuselage side recess cut .(Easy Fix) However, when doing the"check all parts against the plan" evolution I have encountered two unidentified pieces, both in 3mm balsa, 1. A piece measuring 150mm long and tapering from 10mm down to Zero. 2. A piece measuring 128mm long - 20mm wide at one end and 14mm at the other with the whole slightly angled beyond 90 degrees at the 20mm end. There are 2 of each piece. HELP! Any advice appreciated Bill
  3. Wonderful. Thanks a lot! I had to do a fair bit of rectification - mainly in the nose region and L/E of one wing. I also established that they are designed for 25 - 30 engines - this had a TT GP25 installed. As I'm sure you know TT engines are comparitively quite light, but even after nose repairs I STILL had to put 80g in the cowl - so I decided the additional weight might as well be more power! So it now will be pulled around by a GP42! What the hell! It's a Chris Foss so it will probanly go like a rocket! Thanks again for your assistance
  4. Great. Hope you find it. Much obliged
  5. I was recentlygiven a Uno Wot in need of a fair bit of TLC! All done now but I need to know the balance point. I appreciate that I'm looking at 25 - 30% of the chord as a "ball park" figure, and that it is easily calculated. Much easier though if anybody out there has one (or the instructions) and can tell me what is the correct measurement. Many thanks Bill
  6. I fly mode 2   I'm in the north west   I learnt in the north west   I was taught by a club tutor   Could it be that the bias is for "throttle left" 'cos that's where the "fast handle " is in a full size single- seater?   Bill
