My take on model aircraft support as on line foams are few and far between at present

Hi Tony H. Over my last 25 yrs plus with model aircraft I have always preferred the IC route. I have some electric one but these seem to be the faster ones on 2200 3 s l only have 4 IC 46 two stroke models but the pleasure they give me is great Long live IC engines

I have just been down Aldi Centre isles and picked up a gas fired multi tool Soldering iron 4 tips blow torch hot air gun £12.50

I am in agreement with ED suggestions as the old site let us modify the text,price and delete after items sold to stop bugging the topic

I cut up an old pillowcase or similar material and form a shoe shape with a hollow hem around the top thread some string through to hold it around the iron. This can be turned over or thrown away

My latest find just need to fine tune engine with it being inverted

Try Radio model workshop the owner Mike is very helpful guy. He put my dropped Flash 7 through the system and all was okay I have had on old optima Rx that will not bind from my old Flash 6 days on 2.4 module

Having once had the same problem with a cluck at front of tank i was advised to put some short piece of rigid pipe in clung pipe Inner of sullivan but best hole size avaialable

So on Ron's comments on blue dye in laser Low Oil fuel this worries me as I thought I had got standard oil fuel it's still blue but no mention of low oil on label

Good Morning Ron I purchased some Laser 5% 2 weeks ago from Model Shop Leeds and asked the same question they had no answer So a polite e mail to Model Technics who came back to confirm they have added dies to some fuels to discriminate them I can confirm it works just as well as the original coloured fuel

I just use a thick card material that comes from various food packaging never had any problems ( Fingers crossed now )

Model Shop Leeds is open to customers lots of goods behind counter for safety reasons upstairs was full of model kits not sure if recent stock levels Have a look on the shops web page maybe you could go click and collect section usually available for collect just after lunch time

Good Evening All somehow managed to get my project completed today

Thanks to Jeffrey and his link to circuit diagrams I have just had a rough bench trial run of my new glow driver set up using an old reciever pack and 1.2 volt nimh cell works as expected. So have a new box and will get a new 1.2 volt cell and build a new unit Will post a picture when finished ( somehow the wife's decorating needs may take priority ) Happy flying to all

Thanks for your responses and report on my findings. Engine mounted sideways as all my other three AX are, removed engine and took head and back plate and amazed to see water droplets in the various areas including the domed area of the head. The droplets were the size of a pin head so full clean of crankcase, head, cylinder etc rebuild. Go through the normal start up proceedure and bingo lovely smooth tick over and straight up to full power. Looks like need to check my storage fuel bottles etc.

Yesterday my reliable OS 46AX 11 would not start and just kept throwing the prop off after three attempts I put it to one side. Later at home I started searching for another alternative and it seems the only new ones available are Force Has anybody got one and any comments please ??

Thank You for the link very useful What I am unable to understand is how are you driving a 1.5 volt glow plug from a 3 s lipo . I was intending using my 5 amphr 1.2 volt nicad cell

Little bit of help please just got delivery of the digital display unit as shown by Martin Harris as above No diagrams as such Assuming the larger wires are the amp circuit and maybe the red black on the thinner wires are for voltage did put these across a 12 volt lipo and all I see is all digits lit up as " 0 " but no actual voltage Does the voltage only show up when amps are being drawn Many thanks for any response in advance

Just out of interest I was following the thread on glow plug indicator clicked on a link by Cassadra to Bangood to look at the voltage ammeter unit and then I started getting Bangood pop up in other topics in Google, just as Mr K Anderson mentioned, just did a history clean and all stopped
