Appreciate a bit late to respond to this query When I order bearings from any supplier if they offer a slightly higher price option it is worth the extra pennies Having purchased the same bearing from simply bearings at different times I found the higher priced bearings certainly run quieter and last longer Just my experience notes

Wot4 IC - To build or not to build?
Keith Berriman replied to Andy C's topic in All Things Model Flying
Hi Andy ARTF are quick build nice to fly but first heavy landing tip stall etc and the weak spots show up and sometimes difficult to repair A kit built model has a lot of strength in its build, engine mounts servo set ups etc in a chris for kit are well explained Even the set up on movements are given Only down side is the final covering but it does get easier as you start Happy Building -
Strange as it may seem the idle bar plug ( Taylor ) was the only plug i could get my Irvine engines to run smoothly on tick over Some older modelers at my strip condemed them as one guy had the idle bar fall of and damaged his engine

Hi Nick Definitely glass cloth the inside the fuselage area where the undercarriage fits My experience with glass fiber undercarriage is on the occasional heavy landing it starts to create splitting inside the curve and this then gets worse and eventually time for a new one The ally one can be straightened out

Just out of interest I have thought in the past of fitting two midi servos in the wing centre section to give finite control if needed On fitting a 4 stroke does the firewall need to set back some ??

My experience with life cells is disappointing with my Hitec Flash 8 TX. There was no longlivity in use in the TX and even new Hitec packs did not extend the flying times same cell packs, changed to a 2 cell lipo now gives me confidence I will not be getting low voltage alarm from tx when in flight. Not been confident to go down Rx packs staid with enoloops

Chris Foss Acrowot (KIt Built)
Keith Berriman replied to CARPERFECT's topic in All Things Model Flying
When I built my Acrowot many moons ago my first low winger Irvine 46 was my available engine. I found it a suitable mix and when I got more confident in this low winger it was a real treat to go flying.
